Thank you for taking an interest in Dargaville High School. We are a rural school situated on the West Coast of Northland New Zealand. We are very proud of our longstanding reputation for excellence in academic as well as sporting and cultural pursuits. This is underpinned by a school-wide philosophy that reflects core values that respects the world we live in, sets positive expectations and expects high standards of discipline.
Our High School prides itself on providing a safe, caring and supportive environment where students are encouraged and challenged to reach their full potential. We also promote harmonious and enriching social relationships, leadership opportunities and character development. These include respect, honesty, responsibility, loyalty and reliability.
We want to encourage our students to succeed when they leave school, to become positive, confident, contributing members of society. Many past pupils have gone on to be very successful in business, academia, sport and in the arts.
